This study investigates the influence of Shakespearean dramatic techniques on the formation and development of American theatrical tradition. The research focuses on the dramatic methods employed by William Shakespeare, particularly in Hamlet, and analyzes how these techniques shaped the artistic and structural evolution of nineteenth century American drama. By examining Shakespeare’s use of soliloquy, monologue, emotional dialogue, characterization, and poetic language, the study demonstrates their lasting impact on American theatrical expression and dramatic realism.

The research argues that Shakespearean dramatic principles became an essential foundation for the professionalization of American theater and contributed significantly to the creation of psychologically complex characters and emotionally intense dramatic narratives.
