Аннотация

This study focused on the genetic diversity of local Shirali and Oltin vodiy melon varieties. The results allowed the assessment of genetic variation and polymorphism levels based on morphological and molecular characteristics. Shirali variety showed better adaptation to hot and dry climates, while Oltin vodiy variety adapted well to moist soils and moderate climatic conditions. Using molecular markers and morphological analysis, the study evaluated the varieties’ genetic stability, adaptive potential, and regional adaptability. The findings provide a scientific basis for breeding programs, regional cultivation strategies, and conservation of local melon varieties. Moreover, the genetic diversity of these varieties enhances the potential for developing high-yielding and environmentally resilient cultivars. The results serve as a valuable resource for agricultural research and the improvement of local agrotechnologies.
