Abstract
A system is a collection of interacting or interrelated elements that act according to a set of rules to form a whole. It is characterized by the boundaries, structure and purpose of a system surrounded and influenced by its environment and expressed in its activities. Systems are the objects of study of systems theory and other systematic sciences. The term system comes from the Latin word "systēma", which in turn comes from the Greek sōsēma systēma: "a whole concept consisting of several parts or members, "system", in literary language "content".
