Аннотация
The article investigates both theoretical and practical problems which arise during term mapping work between English and Russian linguistic systems in the field of derivatology. The research evaluates current methods of transferring derivational terms between languages while recognizing fundamental differences in metalinguistic understanding and suggesting new methods to achieve term equivalent status. The research results show that effective term transfer needs more than word replacement because it demands complete comprehension of fundamental theoretical frameworks together with flexible translation methods that maintain concept integrity while handling different linguistic systems.
