Abstract

Cardiovascular diseases are among the leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide, representing a major global health challenge. This work focuses on modern pharmacological approaches used in the management of cardiovascular disorders such as hypertension, ischemic heart disease, atherosclerosis, and heart failure. The study provides a detailed analysis of the main groups of cardiovascular drugs, including antihypertensive agents, lipid-lowering medications, anticoagulants, antiplatelet drugs, and their clinical importance in disease control and prevention. Special attention is given to the mechanisms of action of these pharmacological agents and how they influence the pathophysiological processes of cardiovascular diseases. The research also highlights the importance of individualized therapy, where treatment is selected based on patient-specific factors such as age, disease stage, comorbidities, and risk profile. This approach significantly improves therapeutic outcomes and reduces the risk of complications.
