Abstract
Ushbu maqolada ingliz matbuot tilida zeugmaning kognitiv va stilistik mohiyati, u orqali yaratiladigan semantik ko‘p qatlamlilik hamda ifoda tejamkorligi tahlil etilgan.
Zeugma jurnalistik matnlarda o‘quvchining diqqatini tortish, axborotni ixcham va emotsional tarzda yetkazish, shuningdek, o‘quvchining tafakkurini faollashtirish vositasi sifatida o‘rganiladi. Maqolada zeugmaning kognitiv mexanizmlari, uning o‘quvchi ongida assotsiativ bog‘lanishlar yaratish xususiyati hamda matbuot uslubidagi badiiy va kommunikativ ahamiyati yoritilgan.
