Abstract

Polycystic ovary syndrome is a common endocrine and gynecological disorder affecting women of reproductive age and characterized by reproductive, hormonal, and metabolic abnormalities. The present study evaluated the clinical and hormonal characteristics of women with polycystic ovary syndrome and assessed changes in menstrual function, manifestations of hyperandrogenism, and reproductive outcomes. The study included 50 patients.

Menstrual irregularities, hirsutism, acne, and hormonal disturbances were among the most frequently observed clinical manifestations. Following treatment, menstrual regularity improved, clinical manifestations of hyperandrogenism decreased, and significant changes in hormonal parameters were observed. Pregnancy was achieved in 21 patients during the follow-up period. The findings demonstrate the importance of comprehensive clinical and hormonal assessment and individualized management in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.
