Аннотация
Aphorisms are concise, expressive statements that encapsulate profound ideas, wisdom, or principles. Those with the meaning of “call” and “appeal” are particularly powerful, as they motivate action, inspire individuals, or deliver moral lessons. In both English and Uzbek cultures, such aphorisms play a crucial role in shaping public opinion, conveying societal values, and fostering unity.
This article presents a comparative analysis of aphorisms with call and appeal meanings in English and Uzbek, exploring their cultural underpinnings, linguistic features, and thematic focuses. The study also highlights similarities and differences, demonstrating how each language reflects its unique worldview through aphorisms.
