Аннотация
This study explores the historical evolution of learner-centered education within pedagogical thought and its impact on modern teaching practices. Emphasis is placed on the shift from teacher-directed instruction to approaches that prioritize students’ active engagement autonomy and personal learning strategies. The research examines how different educational theorists and movements have contributed to the conceptualization of learner-centered pedagogy and how these ideas have influenced curriculum design classroom organization and instructional methods. Additionally the study highlights the benefits of fostering critical thinking problem-solving and collaborative skills through learner-centered approaches. Through historical analysis and review of pedagogical literature this work provides insights into the development of educational philosophies that recognize learners as active participants in the learning process and underscores the importance of adapting teaching methods to individual needs.
