Аннотация
Proverbs are concise, metaphorical expressions that encapsulate collective wisdom, moral values, and social norms accumulated over generations. This article examines the cultural and social significance of proverbs using in social sciences and humanities research. Drawing on comparative qualitative analysis of proverbs from different cultural contexts, the study explores how proverbs function as tools of social regulation, cultural transmission, identity construction, and informal education. The findings demonstrate that proverbs play a crucial role in maintaining cultural continuity while also adapting to social change. The article contributes to interdisciplinary research in linguistics, anthropology, folklore studies, and sociology.
