Abstract

This academic paper explores the role and significance of social networks in learning the English language. In today’s digital era, platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Telegram, and TikTok provide language learners with opportunities to communicate in real-life contexts, expand their vocabulary, improve pronunciation, and develop both written and spoken communication skills. The study highlights how the interactive and multimedia features of social networks increase learners’ motivation and enhance language acquisition. Additionally, the paper discusses not only the advantages but also some potential drawbacks of using social media in language learning. In conclusion, social networks are identified as effective tools in English language education and hold a vital place in modern learning environments.
